Metal Sword
Like a sword of metal able to withstand combat, in place of any sword used during the age midieval?
Like a sword of pure silver, as close as it gets fine, last as long, if not, then the common sword used in combat during the age midieval? What type of metal is used to forge the strength during those times? Like the sword would break or scratch easily? Like it lasts longer and take punch after the other force?
Silver will make your sword expensive, but nothing else. It is much softer than copper, which was the first metal we used to make weapons. You can give it an edge, but one slam against even boiled leather armor only dull it immediately, and if it is to be parried by a sword of another metal, other side of the arms would really bite into it, leaving a ragged gap along the cutting edge. In fact, even someone with a strong staff is easy to parry your silver sword and leave a little dull in the sheltered side. It would also require a very large amount of silver in the Tang, and either down the middle of the blade (European style sword) or with the back of the blade (Asian style sword). Without the large amounts of silver as a very poor way of reinforcement, your blade is probably reluctant to fight, and if it is used in a thrusting motion, quickly and permanently bend, not maintaining its strength, or even springing straight back to your standard steel medieval sword. you can make the alloy of silver with other materials, but it will only make it marginally stronger than brass (Which is not part of the medieval arsenal, having moved to Europe in copper, and iron, then steel, then forged steel). actually, it would be expensive, heavy, difficult - and completely useless in the sole exception in the first Slayer-style slice against an unsuspecting and completely unarmed and unarmored opponents. Fairy tales and fantasy novel make it sound cool, but all in all, I'd rather have a heavy club.
