Copyright Law cosplay supply of labor?
I want to make some plush items to sell online with some of the extra fabric that I am, but I do not sure how the copyright law came into effect in doing such and what not. For example, if I made a hat Kero Card Captor Sakura from, or a Paopu fruit from Kingdom Hearts. Should I write I just came up with the concept for the item, I just made the product? * The not want to get sued * ~ Or ~
That depends on the area where you live, the server of your website, and the owner of copyright, which can be in three different areas in three different copyright laws. So as you can see, it is not very simple. Not to mention that copyright owners can also sometimes be completely unstable, one moment they might tolerate a lot of 'violation', but on the other they may wish to hold a simple 'violation' in a strict manner. Copyright owner also may refuse to offer tributes to compensate for their 'loss', but that does not mean that the enforcers copyright probably also feel the same thing. 
Personally, I think you should make plushies sample and put their pictures online, but tell people they are not for sale. But put a note saying that if someone asked you to create a plushie, you are ready to do a customized version for him / her, for a slightly materials, manufacture, and shipment fee. That way at least, you can get other people to share the allegations. Besides, method also is like making art for fans of other people. But you really should give credit where credit is due, put the copyrights and trademarks, tell people where the concept came from. Also, because you are an individual who makes small works, and then do not do mass production, because you do not do it. Mass production requires many resources, lots of planning, and lots of marketing.
